DRVR
How many layers does the DRVR have?
The DRVR by LVRY is an ultra-lightweight triple-layer suit. What this means for you is that you will not have to add additional layers of fire-resistant (FR) garments in order to meet safety requirements. Note that undergarments are not technically required, though are encouraged to keep your suit in the best condition possible.
What homologation does the suit carry?
The DRVR suit is certified by the SFI 3.2A/5 homologation. Testing through the FIA has been completed, and once finalized will grant us FIA 8856-2018 homologation. The timeline for FIA homologation is largely uncertain as we have no control over the FIA and their procedures.
Do you offer the DRVR in different colors?
Our launch color of black is the only color currently being offered. As we grow, more colors and variations will be offered.
Can I have a custom-designed suit made?
Yes. Whether you’re looking for a completely custom-designed suit from the factory or looking to customize your suit with branding and patches, the DRVR can be designed to your needs. Please email tailor@lvry.co for more information.
What makes your suit different from others?
We have taken a new approach to the development of the DRVR racing suit. Starting with the most advanced materials, the DRVR has done away with ‘rib-knit’ fabrics on the ankles and wrists, has less bulk around the shoulders providing for a sleeker silhouette and enhanced driver comfort, and is extremely lightweight and breathable. Other features include internal chillout, drink, and comm routing with egress on both sides of the suit, flexible articulation points (shoulders, knees, elbows), offset zipper under the chin, and the arms are sewn raised in the driving position. We also started with a US body size block to base the suit size profile on. This allows the DRVR to comfortably fit US drivers better and is a reimagination of how US suits are sold. We also offer to tailor your suit directly from the factory for a perfect fit, right to your door. Our approach has resulted in a super sleek, lightweight and comfortable suit that is designed to fit the modern American racer.
Can I have my suit tailored?
Yes, please refer to the Virtual Fitting – Commonly Asked Questions section below for more information.
VIRTUAL FITTINGS ////////////////////
What is a Virtual Tailor?
Our Virtual Tailor tool will allow you to enter your measurements and refine your suit size selection down to the best fitting options. While we encourage you to enter all measurements for the most accurate results, only the information marked with an asterisk is required.
How do I use it?
The step-by-step tool will walk you through the steps and allow you to enter the necessary information. Once all of the information has been entered you will be provided with your results and the best fitting suit options. Toggle between the recommended sizes to view the differences and make your selection. Once you’ve selected your preferred suit size and send the order, we will process the order and ship your in-stock suit within 2 business days. Custom tailoring will extend the timeline for suit delivery.
What if I don’t have my measurements?
If you don’t have your measurements, we recommend having your measurements taken or referring to the measurements of your favorite pair of pants and your best fitting t-shirt*. Using the sizing chart below you can approximate your measurements based on your shirt and pant size. *Please note that this may not lead to the best fitting suit and should only be used for general sizing estimates.
What if I want my suit custom tailored?
The DRVR suit is designed to look and feel like a tailored suit. If you’d like to have your suit custom tailored for an even better fit we strongly encourage having your measurements taken by a tailor and submitting those measurements through our Virtual Tailor. Upon submitting your measurements, we will have your suit custom tailored. Please allow an additional 2 weeks for custom tailoring.
If possible, we recommend visiting an authorized retailer or the LVRY HQ located at Utah Motorsports Campus to try on a DRVR suit.
How do I care for my DRVR suit?
Special care must be taken in order to maintain the suit’s flame-protective properties. The suit material is sensitive to prolonged sun exposure. We recommend you stay out of direct sun exposure as much as possible while wearing the suit. Avoid exposure to fuel and other solvents. Spot clean or machine wash with a cleaner designed for use with racing suits. Machine-wash in warm or cool water and hang-dry. Do not use bleach. Do not dry clean, steam-clean, or iron. Do not wring-out or machine-dry.
