Nathan Nicholson is racing two very different series this season. Two different cars. Two different racing environments.
So when we started designing his racewear for the year, it meant building two suits that reflected both programs.
One for the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. One for the Whelen Mazda MX-5 Cup.
Both designed alongside Nate to match the cars he drives and the level he is competing at.

Nicholson recently made his debut in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, driving the No. 76 truck with Freedom Racing Enterprises with support from Whelen.
His first race took place on the streets of St. Petersburg, a road course that demands precision from drivers who are still learning the limits of the truck. Early in the race Nicholson showed strong pace, running with top ten speed and holding the fastest lap for a stretch of time.
The race ultimately ended early after contact with the wall in Turn Two, but the performance made one thing clear. The speed is there.
Nicholson will return to the NASCAR Truck Series road courses later this season with races at Watkins Glen on May 8 and San Diego on June 19.

At the same time, he is competing in the Whelen Mazda MX-5 Cup, one of the most competitive single make championships sanctioned by IMSA.
The series races at iconic tracks including Daytona International Speedway during the Rolex 24 weekend. Each race weekend features two races, and every position matters. The racing is close and the margins are small.
Through the opening rounds Nicholson has continued to build momentum. After his most recent race he sits inside the top ten in the championship standings, continuing to chase the points leaders as the season progresses.

Built for Two Different Programs
For the Whelen Mazda MX-5 Cup, Nicholson runs a DRVR WORKS suit certified to FIA safety standards. The suit was designed to match the livery of his Mazda while delivering the mobility and breathability needed for tight, high intensity racing.
For the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, Nicholson competes in a DRVR CUP suit certified to SFI standards. The design mirrors the Whelen backed No. 76 truck, creating a unified visual identity between driver and machine when he climbs into the cockpit.

The Season Ahead
Drivers who compete across multiple series rarely have quiet weekends. One race leads into the next. Different cars. Different tracks. Another chance to improve.
That is the rhythm Nicholson is settling into this season.
We are proud to support his program with racewear designed for the way modern drivers compete.
And this season is only getting started.
